GrowthStone was initially conceptualised by the late Hadley Francis and Rakesh Bhika. ‘Growth’ symbolising building sustainable solutions and communities and ‘Stone’ representing a foundation to keep us grounded and true to our roots. Upon the untimely passing away of Mr. Francis, who himself was well-known in the audit and accounting professions. Mr Francis and Mr Bhika being one of the first trainees of a big four audit firm in the Eastern Cape. Mr Theodore Josias joined Mr Bhika in giving GrowthStone further traction and impetus into the market. Both the partners have played at the highest levels in the profession having run large multinational client accounts, sitting on audit committees as well as being head of business units in the audit and advisory space.

GrowthStone Assurance was initially established to drive the Strategic Enterprise Development initiative of working with a number of the big 4 practices with a predominantly private sector focus.

Their vision is to add value to the growing mid-tier and entrepreneurial space, ICT and Financial Services, Mining & Energy market by offering holistic solutions that grow their businesses as well as being a front runner in the Strategic BEE advisory advice.
